| Cutting: |
Powered by an inverter-controlled, energy efficient AC motor, the 90 Series cuts 6,000,000 denier at speeds up to 375 meters per minute. A durable, high performance double reduction belt drive employs a main shaft sprocket located between radial bearings for increased life and quiet operation.
|
| Presser Wheel: |
The 90 Series cutter uses a large diameter (26 inch), pneumatically loaded presser wheel. This load adjusts easily from the operating side of the cutter.
|
| Guide System: |
The long 72 inch tow guide provides proper tow presentation to the reel. A trumpet guide precisely confines tow at the critical area of reel contact to prevent filaments from escaping and producing super-overlengths. This trumpet guide swings away for lace-up and reel installation. The guide system is located on the operating side of the cutter.
|
| Configuration: |
A welded, monopost, self-supporting frame design provides access to three sides of the discharge chute.
|
| Options: |
An extensive list of options provides staple fiber producers an opportunity to configure the 90 Series cutter to their precise needs; from tow heights to speeds, total denier to cut lengths, custom drives to special paints; DM&E provides these to your requirements. Optional Reel Attachment Device (R.A.D.) available to replace captive bolt. Call for details.
|
| Cutter Reels: |
The 90 Series cutter uses radial blade reels. Reels interchange with existing reels. Special hub requited for R.A.D.

| Safety: |
Swing-open front and rear reel guards electrically interlock with the motor drive to prevent accidental starting.
